On The Road Again!!!
It is Day 5, and we are back on the road…
Last night Larry and Mary Hunt Murray fed us, gave us a dry place to sleep (WITH BEDS!) and even set us up to speak to a group of people from Lincolnton United Methodist and Assembly of God churches. We had a great time!
Larry and Mary Hunt: as always, your hospitality is unrivaled! The chicken and fixings, as well as the coffee and cheese toast, were delicious - and the view was spectacular!
We’ve been on the road since 9 a.m. with overcast skies - but NO RAIN!
We have had a bit of trouble with our tracker the last couple of days. We apologize (especially to Janet!) for this and hope the issue is resolved.

OK, why are you apologizing to me??? Now, if it breaks tomorrow when I’m on the road trying to find you all, then there might have to be some apologizing going on!!! Just know, that sometime tomorrow, Jack and I will be trying to connect with you…probably in the early afternoon…HAPPY TRAILS until then…Can’t wait to see you ALL and hear all the juicy stories!!!

Eric,
Good luck on educating Sam. How do you expect to accomplish in a week what I’ve been trying to do for 35 years?? Seriously, the videos are GREAT!! I have laughed and laughed. I am so thankful God has provided this opportunity for all of you and especially the opportunity for Sam to be a part of it. He absolutely loves spending time with all of you. I am thankful to God for His provision and care for you all and I will pray for continued safety. I admire all of you for your determination and perseverance.

Two more days of hard riding, right?!?
I can’t be there to ride the century with you all to finish the week, but I’ll be riding a century this Saturday. A friend of mine had registered for the Mamma Jamma ride (raises funds for breast cancer research); he raised his minimum, but was hit by a car on his scooter a week before the ride.
So … I’ll ride in his place and am opting for the century route. Not something I would have imagined doing just a week ago, but I now know from riding with you guys that I have the mental toughness and spiritual strength to do it.
That’ll put me at a little over 350 miles for the week - not the 500+ you’re riding, but still a serious week on the bike.
Keep riding strong!
